Ship maintenance projects are usually time intensive and have complex on-site conditions. Preparing complete original valve information can help the technical team complete model identification, size verification and replacement solution evaluation faster.
It is recommended to provide four types of information
- Nameplate information:Take a clear picture of the product nameplate, including model, caliber, pressure and manufacturing information.
- On-site photos:Provide photos of the valve as a whole, connecting flange, surrounding pipelines and installation space.
- Dimensional data:Record flange standard, bolt hole distance, surface-to-surface length and interface direction.
- Operating conditions:Explain medium, temperature, pressure, fault phenomenon and ship maintenance window.
For high-speed breathable P/V valves, positive and negative pressure settings, breathable pipeline information, and original certificates or data sheets should also be provided as much as possible. The more complete the information, the more conducive it is to reducing the risk of rework and on-site modification.
