Marine high-speed ventilation P/V valve is an important safety component in the cargo hold ventilation system. The selection cannot only look at the caliber. Project evaluation usually requires simultaneous confirmation of media characteristics, operating temperature, design pressure, set pressure, flow requirements, and installation direction.
Five key parameters
- Medium and temperature:Clarify the characteristics of oil, chemicals or other cargo and check material compatibility.
- Pressure and vacuum settings:Determine the positive pressure and negative pressure protection ranges according to the cargo tank design conditions.
- Path and flow:Calculation is carried out in combination with loading and unloading speed, ventilation pipeline and system pressure drop.
- Materials and anti-corrosion:Select the valve body and sealing materials according to the marine environment, medium corrosivity and maintenance plan.
- Certificates and documents:Confirm classification society certificates, data sheets, installation instructions and project delivery documents in advance.
After completing the above verification, the final model is confirmed based on the ship type, cabin capacity and on-site interface. When it comes to specific projects, technical agreements, valid certificates and manufacturer confirmation documents shall prevail.
